So, you've been asked to give a wedding toast maybe as the best man, maid of honor, or a beloved friend.

You're honored and also a little nervous. Where do you even start?

Don't worry, I've helped guide countless wedding ceremonies and receptions. I'm here to walk you through crafting a memorable wedding toast that's authentic, loving, and just the right amount of funny.

PREPARE, EVEN FROM THE HEART

Yes, the best wedding speeches feel heartfelt and spontaneous but trust me, preparation is key.

- Keep it short and sweet: 57 seconds max.

- Jot down your key points; don't try to memorize it all.

- Practice out loud at least a few times before the big day.

WHEN IT'S TIME TO SPEAK

Ask the DJ or MC to introduce you with something like: "Ladies and Gentlemen, please turn your

attention to the head table. A member of the wedding party has something special to share."

THE PERFECT TOAST STRUCTURE:

1. Introduce Yourself

2. Thank the Couple and the Guests

3. Share a Story

4. Highlight Their Love

5. Raise a Glass

6. End with a Wish

FINAL TOAST TIPS:

- Don't try too hard to be funny.

- Use notes.

- Practice makes polished.

- Keep the focus on the couple.

With love and experience,
